8wks: Thursdays, 3:30 pm to 6pm, October 30th to Dec 18th.

This is an introductory clay class, intended to introduce new potters to the basics of both hand-building and wheel work. The first three weeks will be a survey of various hand-building techniques including pinch pots, slab-building and coil-building. The next four weeks will be dedicated to introducing students to the potter's wheel, learning both foundational throwing and finishing techniques. The final class will introduce glazing and decorating techniques for finishing your pots.

Bring your own apron and hand towel to take home to clean, please.  Thank you

Hint: Tie-back long hair, long nails, and rings can interfere with your results.
