About the event
The teapot is a complex form with different parts - body, lid, spout, and handle - made separately then assembled together. Each part needs to be in proportion to the other so when it’s all finished the teapot works has an aesthetically pleasing piece plus pours tea well too! A wonderful challenge for a potter at any stage in their career. This class focuses on one element every day for each class, each day progressing step-by-step, with the final day putting all the parts together completing teapot(s) unique to you. This is a week long class, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 3:30pm and Wednesday from 9:30 to noon. Age: 16+
