Have you always dreamed of turing your ceramic forms into luminaries? This 6wk intermediate series bridges the gap between sculptural form and electrical function, transforming your pottery into sophisticated, functional art.

We'll move beyond the basic cylinder to explore closed forms, compound pots, and structural slab-work, all while tackling the unique engineering challenges of lamp design. Whether you are a seasoned hand-builder or a confident wheel-thrower, this class will challenge you to think about clay as a conduit for light.

Students should be comfortable throwing or hand-building a stable 10inch form and possess a solid understanding of leather-hard trimming.

Bring your own apron and towels for clean up.
