Intro to the Pottery Wheel for Adults 16+ 4 week class

 Monday, 3:30pm to 6:00pm. April 4th, 11th, 18th, skip April 25th (for their first firing), last class May 2nd. 

This class is welcome to those who have never thrown on a pottery wheel.  

The first half of your classes will be working on the wheel (learning basic technique to create a cylinder, or other small vessels), week 3 will be trimming and finishing your pieces, skip a week for their first firing in the kiln. Then week 4 will be glazing. you can expect to pick up your pieces in aprox. 2 weeks.

This will be messy and fun. When working with a machine with rotational pull consider your safety, tie long hair back, sleeves, strings on tops, or long jewelry must be tucked away. Long finger nails and rings may interfere with the outcome of your pots. Wear clothes that can get dirty and bring your own hand towel and apron.

NOTE: Covid 19 protocols in place: PROOF OF VACCINE CARD, REQUIRED to attend the class. Masks must be worn in the studio, sanitize when entering the studio. the instructor will supply sanitized tools. BRING YOUR OWN APRON AND HAND TOWEL to take home please. We do not provide a washing service.
