Throw Big or Go Home! 4wks

  Wednesday  6:30 to 9pm. Jan 11th, 18 ,25, skip Feb 1, for bisquing, finish Feb 8th for glazing.

 This 4 week, intermediate class will build on your current throwing and centering skills to  increase the amount of clay you can successfully center and confidently work towards bigger pots. Basic centering  and throwing skills required, but size is relative and goals can vary!  

Week 1: Recap of throwing strategies for 3 basic forms- cylinders, bowls and plates. Making the most what you’ve  got!  Week 2: Centering strategies and techniques for larger quantities of clay, and learning to control the centripetal force  of bigger pots  

Week 3: Practice, Practice! As well as tips for trimming wider, taller pieces 

Week 4: Glazing tips for handling big ware.

Covid protocols: Masks are now optional. Please bring your own apron and hand towels for cleaning up.

age: Adult 16 + 

Intermediate level

Maximum 8 students, Minimum of 5

Cost: $ 140.00 plus one bag of M370 clay : $47.62 = $ 187.62 +  05% ( 9.38) GST = 197.00 total for class.
