Time: 6:30 - 9 pm
Open to everybody from beginner to experienced.
In this class we will explore hand building vessels like wall pillows (used as canvas for surface decoration) wall vases/ pouches and anything else we can think up using slump molds.
We will also design and create our own bisque, slump and plaster molds in order to create functional or sculptural vessels. We can play with craft foam to give our slab-built pieces more profile.
We will experiment with surface decoration, learning how to make our own stamps and texture rollers.
Surface decoration techniques can include Paper Stencils, Photocopy printing, Mishima Inlay, wax resist carving, underglaze decoration, rubber stamping, tissue paper transfer etc.
Cost: $240 plus the cost of clay ($28 or $35)

Maximum of 8 people, minimum of 6.
